ABOUT ME

Kirsten Delmore, LISW

Delmore Counseling is a personal private practice established in 2008. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the state of Ohio. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Ohio University and my Master’s in Social Work from The Ohio State University. I have over 28 years of clinical experience in the mental health field, in both public and private sectors. The variety of previous work environments has afforded me the opportunity to gain experience in many settings and with different populations. I continue to learn and expand upon my knowledge and clinical skills through attending continuing education courses and trainings. My dedication to this field extends to my membership in the National Association of Social Workers for the last 29 years.

With my experience helping children, teens, adults, and families, I understand that a tailored treatment team is crucial for effective therapy. With your approval, I collaborate with doctors, specialists, school counselors, teachers, and/or other health professionals to assess and address the issues that impact individuals and families. Drawing on a mixture of therapeutic interventions and therapies, I am able to help my clients identify and seek resolutions to the struggles that lead them to seek guidance, build resilience, and cultivate a sense of well-being. My private practice is devoted to both long-term client exploration and healing, as well as short-term specific problem focused therapy.

When I'm not working with clients, my interests are diverse and fulfilling. I enjoy keeping up with true crime stories through shows and podcasts, and I'm always seeking new insights from self-help books. Gardening provides a peaceful escape, and I find volunteering in my community incredibly rewarding. Of course, I cherish spending time with my husband, family, and friends. And like many parents, I try to visit my twin daughters at their out-of-state colleges whenever possible.
